Watch Nirvana Perform One of Their First Gigs at a Radio Shack

July 6, 2017

Once upon a time, Nirvana started out like nearly every other band in the world. They all practiced in garages and basements. They all hung posters of their favorite bands on their walls. They all performed at small local venues like strip malls or school dances. Or in Nirvana's case, between the audio and video departments at a Radio Shack in Aberdeen, Washington.

In the video below, we see Kurt CobainKrist Novoselic, and Melvins drummer Dale Crover living out their rock n' roll dreams after recording their first demo tape the day before. And wait for Kurt's grand entrance to every song!

Additionally, Nirvana fans might recall the footage of Cobain and company zoning out with some trippy plasma globes in a closet at the very same Radio Shack.
