Spanish Goes To Supercon

July 31, 2017

Supercon was this past weekend in Fort Lauderdale and did not dissapoint. A four day colorful weekend filled with celeberties, cartoonist and vendors. People from all around the country made their way to South Florida dressed in character. Covering all genres from Anime, video games, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Power Rangers and Star War just to name a few of the many that were there. There was something for everyone from the entainment factor of Q&A's with their special guest, silent auctions on memorabilia and meet and greets with stars from your favorite sci fi shows or movies. Supercon delievered and they did it in a big way.

I went into Supercon not knowing what to expect other than meeting people who are into the same comic related stuff I'am. I was greeted by Supercon's friendly and helpful staff with smiles on their faces. Their staff gave off the feel as they were as stoked about being there just as much as myself and the rest of their guest. I made my way into the main room with the vendors and celebrities taking pictures and signing autographs. I walked around for hours seeing what the vendors were selling, talking to people who were dressed head to toe in full costume, and just soaking up the entire Supercon vibe experience. The guest vibe was probably the best part of Supercon. It was very friendly, accepting and welcoming from one person to the next. Taking pictures with fellow guest who were dressed up and sharing stories of why they like those characters so much. Supercon impressed me on so many levels it was an amazing experience.

If you've never gone to one of these or are on the fence about it. Go, go let yourself take it all in and enjoy it. As soon as you walk in the cartoon and comic ambience takes over in a great way. Supercon keeps you up to date with everything from Facebook, print of schedule and their app. It's a very well organized and run convention that South Florida should be proud to have in our backyard. So thank you Supercon and I shall be back next year with more of my friends.
