Somebody Made Nirvana Sound Like Pop Punk By Playing "Smells Like Teen Spirit" In A Major Key

Through the use of distorted guitars, Kurt Cobain's raspy vocals, and angst-filled lyrics, Nirvana began to develop their signature sound that made them one of the pillars of the grunge movement of the '90s.
But one little change to their music and suddenly it sounds completely off. Thanks to Vimeo user Sleep Good, by tuning Nirvana's classic hit "Smells Like Teen Spirit" to a major key, the song immediately changes from sounding like a grunge anthem to a happy, upbeat, pop-punk hit to listen to on the beach.
