See Childish Gambino as Lando Calrissian in Upcoming Han Solo Movie

Director Ron Howard just shared the first glimpse of Donald Glover AKA Childish Gambino as Lando Calrissian in the upcoming Han Solo movie.

Unfortunately, it’s a tiny shot taken from Howard’s director’s monitor, but zoom in, and you’ll see the rapper/actor rocking a very Lando-esque outfit. (No word on whether or not this is actually his costume or just Glover’s smooth style.)

Glover is reprising the role made famous by singer/actor/writer Billy Dee Williams in Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back in 1980.

The forthcoming Han Solo spinoff has yet to be named, and whether or not the above picture is of actual film footage or just a test run, we’re psyched to see Childish Gambino behind the lens!
