Seagulls keep couple hostage for 6 days, attack if they try to leave home

The residents bloody head needed hospital treatment

Nesting seagulls would not let Roy and Brenda Pickard leave their own home for six days without attacking them. Mr Pickard even required hospital treatment after receiving a bloody wound at the hands of the birds.

Mr. Pckard said, "The whole thing has been terrible. I've not been able to go out of the front door. If I try to get out of the door, the two adult birds are right there and I've got no chance. It's genuinely frightening."

The Herring Gulls and are protected once nesting - meaning they had very few potential solutions.
