Band Of Horses Loses Two Members as Guitarist, Bassist Both Depart
Band of Horses has shrunk two sizes in the past few days with two members, Bill Reynolds (bassist) and Tyler Ramsey (guitar), announcing in separate social media posts that they are moving on to other projects after 10 years with the band.
This comes as the band is preparing for a long European tour after making eight stops in North America, including shows at Hangout Music Festival and BottleRock Napa Valley Music Festival. The band has yet to make any official statement about plans moving forward or about either members' departure.
Ramsey says he plans on releasing a new solo record and touring this fall, while Reynolds is moving behind the board to produce more. Reynolds has previously produced and engineered for Band of Horses' Infinite Arms, and a variety of other songs and singles from the band, as well as other artists.
Ben Bridwell, the Band of Horses frontman, has just released an album with his new indie supergroup BNQT, which features members from the bands Franz Ferdinand, Travis, Midlake, and Grandaddy.
