It’s that time of year again! Riptide Music Festival Powered By Ford is coming up, Nov. 30-Dec. 2. You saw the lineup, you got excited, you got your tickets, and now you’ve got questions. Here are your answers:

 

1. THREE FULL DAYS OF MUSIC

Yes, the saints at 104.3 The Shark and our sister radio stations have blessed us this year by adding a THIRD full day of music to the biggest alternative music festival in South Florida making it even BIGGER. In order to be able to seize each day, you’ve GOTTA know each day’s schedule:

FRIDAY Nov. 30, 2018 (Classic Hits) – Gates open at 4pm. Gates close at 9:45pm

SATURDAY Dec. 1, 2018 (Alternative) – Gates open at 11am. Gates close at 9:40pm.

SUNDAY Dec. 2, 2018 (Alternative) – Gates open at 11am. Gates close at 8:45pm.

 

2. SET TIMES

Now that you know what time Riptide opens and closes each day, you probably want to know when your favorite artists will take the stage. Set times will be released on Wednesday, Nov. 28th AT 10AM on the Radio.com app - with plenty of time for you to plan out food/bathroom breaks so you don’t miss a minute of the action, so keep an eye on Riptidefest.com!

 

3. FESTIVAL MAP

An updated map showing the stage location, food, bathrooms, etc. will be available before the festival right here on 1043TheShark.com. Plus, check out this transporation map below! Parking at the beach will be limited, so be sure to get dropped off via Yellow Cab or Rideshare on HARBOR DRIVE!

 

 

4. RE-ENTRY

There will be no re-entry allowed at Riptide, but trust us, once you catch a glimpse of all the food, activities, and the beautiful view, you’ll never want to leave.

 

5. CAMERAS

Only approved media outlets will be allowed in with professional cameras (DSLR and mirrorless cameras), if you’re a photographer granted assignment from a working print, online or broadcast commercial news organization please apply for a photo pass here: Riptidefest.com/media. Otherwise, feel free to take pictures with your phone or digital camera to give your friends who didn’t make it major FOMO.

 

6. WHAT TO BRING

7. OCEAN ACCESS

Riptide Music Festival attendees will not be allowed to enter the ocean while inside our festival grounds.

 

8. ACCESSIBILITY

There is an accessible viewing area and handicap bathrooms. Contact [email protected] for more information.

9. WORKING RIPTIDE

At this time, we are not accepting free volunteers. However, you can make $$, while working Riptide Music Festival 2018 by applying to be a Part-Time Promotions assistant for our Entercom South Florida radio stations. Apply here today!

 

10. ATM MACHINES

Yes, ATMs will be available inside the Riptide Music Festival grounds. Locations will be marked on the festival map.

 

11. HOTELS

We've partnered with Fort Lauderdale’s best hotels to provide special Riptide rates! You can book your stay here! Remember, prices will only go up as rooms are booked, so book your stay early!

 

12. FOOD & DRINK

Other than music, food and drink will truly be the star of the show at Riptide. There will be plenty of food and drink options in our #BiteMe Food Court. We'll also have vegetarian and vegan options available.

13. KIDS

You don’t have to leave the kids at home! Children over 2 years old can attend for regular priced ticket, and any children under 2 may attend for FREE!

 

14. SEATING

There are no seats at the festival, but you're encouraged to bring your own beach blankets, towels and low-rise beach chairs. There is a designated Chair Zone where you will be allowed to set up your chairs for the day.

 

15. MEET ARTISTS

One of the best parts of Riptide Music Festival is having the chance to meet all of your favorite artists! As we get closer to Riptide 2018, visit our radio station’s websites for details on how you can win a chance to meet the Riptide bands, 104.3TheShark.com, LiteMiami.com, TheBeachMiami.com, TheTicketMiami.com, Power96.com, and WQAM.com.

 

16. WEATHER

Riptide Music Festival will go on rain or shine! However, if there are severe weather circumstances, we may postpone, evacuate, or cancel the event.

 

17. BOAT PARKING

There will be NO boat anchoring offshore of the Riptide Music Festival. There are protected coral reefs. Please if you are coming by boat, reach out to the local marinas for assistance with docking. The offshore area will be heavily patrolled to prevent boats from anchoring.
