Surfaces Follows 'Sunday Best' With Elton John Duet

'All the broken people put your hands up high, if you lift them up you might just touch the sky'

June 12, 2020

Following up their January release of "Sunday Best," Texas duo Forrest Frank and Colin Padalecki, better known as 2020 breakout group Surfaces, have dropped a new collaboration featuring the "Rocket Man" himself, Mr. Elton John.

The band decided to hold the release of "Learn To Fly" until today, June 12, due to the pressing need for space to be made on social media for those struggling with the issues of the day - an ongoing health crisis combined with social and racial activism sweeping the globe.

"From the beginning we just wanted this song to be a breath of optimism for those who need it... and from the bottom of our hearts we hope this song will be a source of encouragement now more than ever," the band said on Instagram.

"If you are broken, hurting, lost, or just going through it... this one’s for you."

Elton and the Surfaces guys seemed to have a great time recording the track. As you can see in Elton's post below, everyone had their arms up and smiles beaming as they listed back to the mix - without a doubt a feeling that will rub right onto you upon the first listen.
