French indie-pop band Phoenix have returned with their first new music since their critically acclaimed, Ti Amo, this time lending their dreamy sound to the soundtrack for Sophia Coppola's upcoming Apple Original film, On The Rocks.

The band began teasing something new was coming on their social channels last week and today "Identical" is here along with a video directed by Sophia's brother, Roman Coppola, who previously helmed clips for Phoenix's “Funky Squaredance,” “Long Distance Call,” and “Everything Is Everything.”

The band not only feature in the end credits of the new flick, they also wrote the score and assembled its soundtrack, their fifth cinematic collaboration with Coppola since first including their song "Too Young" in her 2003 film Lost In Translation.

On The Rocks was written and directed by Sofia Coppola (The Virgin Suicides, Lost In Translation) and stars Bill Murray, Rashida Jones, and Marlon Wayans following the bittersweet story of a young New York mother (Jones) who teams up with her larger-than-life playboy dad (Murray) to tail her husband (Wayans).

Check out the trailer for On The Rocks below, in theaters(?) and on Apple TV+ this October.
